Annelies White has combined her love for the exotic with her love of her home town, introducing tropical sounds to a new seafront club.
Annelies, 22, has a passion for travelling to far-flung parts of the world and has visited Mexico, Thailand and India.
She also loves living in Brighton and has used her globetrotting experiences to bring a taste of the exotic to the Barracuda club with a new salsa night.
Annelies, of Bentham Road, is managing director of Zen Artist Management.
She formed the company two years ago to organise and promote new club nights in Brighton.
The Sphere night at the Zap and Solstice at the Barracuda have helped launch the company on the Brighton club scene.
Annelies said: "This type of work is very male-dominated.
"When I started out, I was one of the few female promoters in Brighton and it was a struggle to prove I am just as capable as the men on the scene.
"Now I am getting recognition for what I have already achieved and I am using this opportunity to set up a night I want."
The new club night, Salsa, will open its doors at the Barracuda for the first time on Thursday.
Annelies said: "Salsa music is growing in popularity at the moment but most places expect some level of skill from their guests, even charging for dance lessons before the fun begins.
"At the Barracuda, there will be more of a party feel."
"With £1.50 entry and tequila slammers at £1 a go, you can have a wicked night out for under a fiver.
"There's not many places in Brighton can offer that, let alone a seafront club."
Annelies, who is also a model and film extra, has worked towards her goal of successful club promotion since leaving school.
"Before setting up the company, I worked in a bank and learnt all I needed about the financial aspects of the job.
"I also worked in sales to learn how to market a product and network with people.
"I hope everyone who comes to our nights enjoys the benefits of our hard work."
