I agree wholeheartedly with the recent restaurant review of the Brighton Hilton Metropole (ahead, September 6).
My sister and her husband recently stayed at the hotel and were similarly disappointed with the experience. The only food available was sandwiches, which took almost two hours to arrive, and the couple were kept awake until 3am by thumping disco music.
In the morning they were woken at 8am by banging on their door and the bill being pushed underneath it - and they were not able to have breakfast in their room. Then they were charged £300!
This shoddy service, exorbitant cost and inferior accommodation will do long-term damage to Brighton's reputation.
