Hooray for John Parry! He is absolutely right in his criticism of the police and their inaction over the issue of travellers (Argus, September 8).
In the same issue, Steve O'Rourke, of Sussex Police, accuses Andy Webb of double standards. Since there are clearly no double standards in the police force, could Mr O'Rourke tell us how many travellers have been prosecuted for not having tax, MOTs or insurance for their vehicles?
I saw many travellers' vehicles on the road without a tax disc between them. Don't the police now have the power to confiscate and crush unlicenced vehicles? Why isn't this happening?
