Mark and Jenny Coleby have been winning compliments from their customers since they took over the post office at Saltdean in 1982.

With the help of three part-time assistants they run the store in Longridge Avenue with care and consideration.

Mark said: "People like to do all their shopping in one place these days and it's mainly the small shops that suffer.

"But fortunately here in Saltdean, we have customers who are happy to support their local shops.

"I do believe in always offering the best service to customers. If you don't, they won't come back.

"We both love Saltdean. People here are friendly and have a nice way of life.

"Our customers are our friends."
