How lovely to read the article about John Henty (Weekend, September 9).
It brought back so many memories of Radio Brighton and the Early Birds programme. We even had our own song!
I came across a large photo of John among my belongings the other day and wondered where he and his former colleagues Stuart McIntosh, David Arscott and the others were.
The article made me remember daft things such as CUBE (cease using brown envelopes) and the time North Street was closed when the sewer caved in.
Another time we were invited to an afternoon of entertainment at the Pavilion Theatre, New Road, and I can remember taking my eldest grandson (now 26) on a visit to 1a Marlborough Place to an open day.
Good health and best wishes to John and Sylvia in all they do.
