So Jim Monks thinks he is a special case by being allowed to live in Preston Park (Argus, September 6)? The park is for recreation, not living in. The people of Brighton and Hove pay council tax, part of which goes towards the upkeep of the park.
Office workers are not allowed to park there and quite rightly so. Mr Monks should set up home in the grounds of the Royal Pavilion. I wonder how long he would be allowed to stay there?
He probably heard Brighton and Hove Council would welcome him and his fellow travellers with open arms while they were living in Kent.
