I read the article on New Steps (Argus, September 6) with interest. I'm back in Brighton after more than 30 years and it's good to see some really excellent initiatives happening here. I hope New Steps goes from strength to strength.
What did sadden me, though, was to read Eloise Upton felt let down at school. That's rotten, but I'm glad things are getting better for her. I also hope things will improve at her old school, East Brighton College of Media Arts, especially as I recently started work there as special educational needs co-ordinator.
We are working hard to ensure every pupil who needs help receives it. We want to ensure no young people will leave here again feeling they've been let down.
