A solicitor's clerk who forged a client's signature has been temporarily banned from working in the legal profession.
Heather Thompson was working for Brighton solicitors Griffith Smith at offices in the Old Steine when she forged the signature on a conveyancing document and sent it to the Land Registry, the Solicitors' Disciplinary Tribunal was told.
Miss Thompson, who was educated in Littlehampton and Chichester, did not attend the hearing but admitted the allegation.
She had previously worked as a solicitor's clerk in Worthing.
The tribunal ordered that Miss Thompson should not be employed in the legal profession without the Law Society's consent.
