Tony Blair's refusal to link pension rises to wage increases means pensioners will be denied a rightful share in the growth of national prosperity.
His preference is for a limited range of demeaning and pauperising means-tested benefits, which reduce pensioners to the modern day equivalent of poorhouse supplicants.
Blair might not be for turning, but have no doubt, pensioners will turn their backs on him at the next
election.
