A 14-year-old Sussex girl has become one of Britain's youngest web entrepreneurs.

Gemma Fuller, of Worthing, set up Hitzone last year to make companies easier to find on search engines.

Now she is expecting the firm to reach a £1 million turnover in three years' time.

Gemma had the idea while using a search engine to gather information for a school project.

Despite studying for GCSEs at Littlehampton Community School, Gemma still has time to help run the company.

She worked with her father, Paul, to create the technology.

The company boasts clients across Britain ranging from motorbike shops to mortgage firms. All appear in the first thirty results when their businesses are searched by using Yahoo and Altavista.

Despite her commercial success, Gemma wants to carry on studying, taking A-levels and going to university.

Mr Fuller said he would like to see his daughter run the business while at university.

"She's capable of doing it but she's got her own mind."
