A man found drowned in Shoreham Harbour has been identified as a ship's chief engineer.
John Thomason, 64, was discovered in the water near his vessel by colleagues in Aldrington Basin on Sunday.
Mr Thomason, from Southampton, and fellow crew members were carrying out surveying work and had docked at Shoreham.
He was returning to the ship across pontoons when he fell into the water.
A post mortem was carried out yesterday. Crime has been ruled out and an inquest will be held.
