I am very disturbed by the spate of homophobic attacks in St James's Street. What I find most surprising is the lack of incident boards at the scene, particularly since many holidaymakers will have left Brighton on Saturday or Sunday morning from the numerous hotels and guest houses in the area and may have vital evidence, which will now probably be lost. Why have the police not put up an incident board?
Residents in this area are getting more and more angry about the lack of a proper response to serious incidents. Time and time again, the assailants are not being caught and will think they have licence to commit these atrocious crimes with impunity.
This is the third attack in the last few weeks that I know about. Please, Brighton police, swamp this area with detectives. Get these thugs caught. This cannot go on.
