Langey Sports battled out a 1-1 draw against Dr Martens Eastern Division leaders Bashley in an exciting game at Priory Lane.
Langney started off superbly and should have been two up in 10 minutes.
Jason Reed twice sent Matt Allen through, but Bashley keeper Geoff Sim saved the first attempt and Allan hit wide on the second.
Darren Pearce then fired wide from Jon Snelgrove's pass and memories of the abysmal FA Cup display against Lewes was soon disappearing.
Bashley lost their keeper with an injury after 28 minutes and that's when the visitors had their best period of the half.
But they never really tested Sports keeper Simon Davey, who did a solid job all night.
Langney nearly fell behind straight after the restart.
Graeme Gee crossed for an unmarked David Puckett, but his diving header cannoned back off the bar.
But Langney fought back and had the ball in the net but Allen was offside after good link up play with Reed.
In the 59th minute, Langney took the lead with a bullet header from Reed after Pearce's pinpoint corner.
The visitors then put pressure on Langney and 10 minutes later it was level after Gee was unmarked at the back post to volley home.
