Parking in Hove is a nightmare. I live off Lansdowne Road in Hove and drive around, sometimes for up to 30 minutes at a time, trying to find a legal place to park.
The other day it was raining hard so I parked on double yellows to unload my bags. On my return I had received a ticket for £20. This was at 7.06pm!
More and more people are parking on double yellows out of sheer deperation. The zone parking scheme is sort of working, until someone illegally parks in your allocated zone. Then what? You can, of course, go on the lengthy waiting list. In the meantime, you have to pay £20 per week to park in Hove.
There is always park and walk, but what about the winter when it is pitch dark and freezing cold? So what is the answer? Move to somewhere there is parking? Does anyone have any intelligent suggestions?
