I'm baffled by the story of a plaque being put up in honour of a man who has eaten 99 portions of fish and chips during the past three years (Argus, October 10).
I eat fish and chips once or twice per week, say 200 times in three years, but I don't seem to have a plaque at my local chippy. What's more, I once knew a couple who ate fish and chips twice a day, every day. That's four portions per day, more than 4,000 meals in three years. I don't recall a plaque to their achievement, either.
