After living on Whitehawk estate for three years, I am still trying to make some sense of the bus service here. In the not-so-distant past there was a fairly reliable service which consisted of buses 42, 44 and 44a. Now we seem to have a bus service with no respect for keeping to a timetable at all.
The No. 21 service, for example, leaves much to be desired. For three consecutive Thursday mornings I have tried, without joy, to get to college, which is near the London Road bus stop.
Several times I have had to wait until 9.25am for the 8.38am service. As a result, for the past three weeks running I have arrived late at
college.
Maybe residents need to petition for the return of a decent bus service.
