Customers had to down knives and forks when fire broke out in a restaurant last night.
About ten people abandoned their meals and fled when the blaze broke out in Harry's English Restaurant in Church Road, Hove, shortly before 9pm.
Flames from a gas hob spread to ducting in the basement kitchen.
No serious damage was caused and no one was hurt.
