A scale model of Brighton's West Pier is expected to fetch thousands of pounds for sick and disadvantaged children when it goes under the hammer.
The intricately designed model is set to take centre stage at the Variety Club's annual dinner and ball at the Hilton Metropole Hotel on Saturday night.
Made by designer Ted Baker at the turn of the century using old photographs, it was given to hairdresser Jimmy Richardson to help raise cash for Hurstwood Park, the Newick-based charity that provides services for people with acquired brain injuries.
The charity nursed Jimmy, who runs Jimmy's Hairdressers, in Edward Street, Brighton, back to health after suffering a brain tumour.
Money raised through the model's sale will be split between the variety club and Hurstwood Park.
Jimmy said: "It is an absolutely superb piece of design. It is so intricate, you can make out the railings, the covings and even the little stairs that stretch to the top.
Event organiser Mike Mendoza said: "We are thrilled to receive such a valuable item for our auction."
