Lancing rider Natacha Maes (In Gear) was in a class of her own when she won Brighton Mitre 25-mile time trial at Steyning.
It was her fourth success in the event and her time was 1hr.0min.13sec. Second place went to Marina Bloom, of Crawley, Wheelers who clocked 1hr.6min.21sec.
But it was a struggle for the Sussex men in their event.
Richard Prebble, from Farnham, followed up his win in last week's Goodwood Classic hilly time with victory again at Steyning.
The wet conditions were far from ideal but 33-year-old Prebble (Team Clean) stormed round the undulating course in 52min.45sec.
Only Sean Yates, who holds the event record of 50min.27sec, has gone faster, but the Buxted ace didn't enter this year.
Second place went to Graeme Stirzaker (St Raphael) who recorded 54min.23sec. Third fastest in 56min.22sec was former national 25-mile champion Eddie Adkins (Bournemouth Arrow), who has won the Mitre event four times in the past.
Only two Sussex riders managed top ten places. Keymer's Richard Sutton (VC Etoile) finished sixth in 57min.26sec and Brighton Mitre's Tristan Court was ninth in 57min.50sec.
Fifteen year old Liam Terry (Bognor Regis CC) won the juvenile event for the second year in succession with an excellent time of 1hr.1min.54sec.
The tandem event was won by Hampshire pair Chris Birch and Rowan Hornor (St Raphael) in 50min.59sec. Sussex pair Mark Jones and John Limpus (GS Stella), last year's winners, would have challenged them but Limpus had to pull out beforehand due to illness.
A special presentation was made to Mitre's Robin Johnson, who has promoted the event for the past 30 years.
The Horsham Riders were in action at the Gorrick mountain bike meeting in Hampshire.
Mike Thyer led the way in second place in the Grand Veterans' race, while Annie Chapman finished third in the women's masters race.
Gordon Smith (fourth), Stuart Aspinall (sixth) and Paul Kish (17th) rode in the veterans' race, while Brian Trill finished 34th out of 60 riders in the men's Masters event.
