FOUR Langney Sports players had a lucky escape from a car crash on Tuesday night.

Clinton More, Darren Pearce, Simon Davey and Jason Reed were travelling back after the 1-0 defeat at Hastings.

The car driven by More skidded into a ditch near Battle.

The players were unharmed, although Reed and Davey were taken to the Conquest Hospital in St Leonards as a precaution.

More said: "I've never driven down that stretch of road before. It all happened in slow motion as we rolled over. We were very relieved."

All should figure in tomorrow's eastern division trip to Ashford.

Pearce said: "It'll take more than this to keep us out."
