The parents of a man killed when his car crashed and burst into flames have paid tribute to the "born peacemaker".
Ben Adams, 20, died when his car veered off the road and struck a wall in Falmer Road, Brighton.
Mr Adams' Peugeot 205 crashed into a flint wall as he returned from a night out with friends on Friday, October 20. He died at the scene.
Today his mother Barbara, 45, a nurse at Brighton General Hospital, described Mr Adams as a gentle man and the peacemaker of the family.
Mrs Adams, of Laughton Road, Woodingdean, said: "Ben was always a peaceful, calming influence. None of his friends remember him ever getting cross with anybody.
"If his brothers were having scraps he was always the one that would sort them out.
"I was never angry or cross with him. He just wasn't like that, he was always the peacemaker."
Ben's father, David, 48, who works for the Post Office in Croydon, said: "It seems unreal as it wouldn't be unusual for him to be visiting friends or on a course."
Ben had three younger brothers, Jon, 18, Sam, 14, and Joe, 13.
The former pupil of Longhill High School, Rottingdean, worked in IT at Altwood Systems in Orpington, Kent.
Outside work he enjoyed mixing dance music on his own decks.
He was a close friend and schoolmate of Marcus Korashy, whose brother Justin was murdered in Brighton in November 1997.
A funeral service will be held at the Downs Crematorium in Bear Road, Brighton, on Thursday at 2.15pm.
