Albion boss Micky Adams has put his high-flying squad on virus alert.
The Seagulls' hectic schedule has taken its toll, so he gave the players a rare Monday off from training.
Bobby Zamora, Paul Rogers, Matthew Wicks and Paul Brooker have all been victims of a virus which has swept through the camp.
Adams said: "I have cleared the decks. Flu jabs are optional for the players, but this is more like a chest infection.
"We have played a lot of games in a short space of time recently, five in the space of a fortnight.
"I want to give the players time to recuperate and get their bodies right again. They had a long journey to Darlington on Saturday and it all takes its toll."
Adams is already without the suspended Charlie Oatway for Saturday's visit by next-to-bottom Carlisle.
That will force him into an outfield change for the first time in 13 matches, with Lee Steele poised to make his full debut.
Adams goes to the Recreation Ground tonight to spy on Albion's FA Cup opponents, Aldershot or Dorchester. The Seagulls visit the winnners in the first round on November 18.
"I am not too displeased with the draw," Adams said. "I think it's a decent one for us. We will pay either team the respect they deserve.
"I saw Aldershot at the end of last season. I haven't seen much of Dover, but their manager Bill Williams is well-known on the circuit and both clubs have good stadiums."
Albion face Wycombe Wanderers in an FA Youth Cup first round replay at Adams Park tonight following last week's 1-1 draw at Bognor. The winners play Brentford.
ALBION have unveiled two new season ticket offers for Withdean.
A 15-match package, covering the rest of the Seagulls' home League programme, kicks-off with Saturday's visit by Carlisle.
Prices range from £225 for adults in the previously unavailable north stand east wing to £116 for under 16's and OAP's in the south stand.
Albion are also offering an 11-match deal, starting with the New Year's Day clash against Southend. Prices range from £186 to £86.
Chief executive Martin Perry said: "As this exciting season progresses more people will want to watch the Albion than Withdean holds.
"Taking advantage of these new season ticket offers is the best way of ensuring a seat.
"We will still retain a proportion of individual match tickets, as per our previous promise to supporters."
