Albion are in the right frame of mind to avoid a massive upset at Withdean tomorrow.
Manager Micky Adams is confident the attitude of his players will be spot-on for the next-to-top versus next-to-bottom clash against crisis club Carlisle.
Albion have won eight of their last ten matches and lost only one of the last 13.
Ian Atkins' Carlisle have lost ten of their last 11 and drawn the other, so it looks like the home banker of the day.
And Adams has noticed a determination in the camp not to let things slip during an unusual build-up to the match.
He gave his squad Monday and Wednesday off. They also went paintballing on Tuesday afternoon after an arduous training session.
"Ian is a good organiser and motivator of players," Adams said. "If we think all we have got to do is turn up we might be in for a right shock.
"Complacency normally creeps in during training. We have not done a lot this week, but what we have done has been quality. The players look as if they want to keep the good run going."
Bobby Zamora, Paul Rogers, Matt Wicks and Paul Brooker have all recovered from a virus, but Adams is forced into an outfield change for the first time in 13 games.
Charlie Oatway is suspended, so Lee Steele is expected to be given his first start following his matchwinner at Darlington.
"It is the longest run I can remember as a manager without having to make a change," added Adams.
Scott Ramsay is called up to the bench, which is where Rod Thomas will be as well for the 16th game in succession against one of his old clubs.
l Albion's FA Cup first round tie at Aldershot on Saturday week is all-ticket.
The Seagulls have been allocated 2,000 terrace tickets at the Recreation Ground, priced £7 adults and £4 for OAP's, under 16's or UB40 holders.
Tickets, limited to one per person, go on sale to season ticket holders next Thursday from 10am, then on general sale the following day.
