Lifeboats from a sunken chemical ship have turned up off the Sussex coast.
The Newhaven lifeboat towed one lifeboat into harbour on Saturday and the Newhaven crew were out today after the possible sighting of a second boat.
The Sussex coast still faces a pollution risk from the tanker, which sank off the Channel Islands on October 31.
Chemicals aboard the Ievoli Sun, which went down off Alderney while under tow to Cherbourg, France, could drift towards the county.
But a Cherbourg coastguard spokesman said any leak would move slowly.
He said: "Pollution of the Sussex coast is not an immediate risk but it might happen later."
A Dover coastguard spokesman said: "These are quite dangerous chemicals so they have to be packed a certain way in tanks. If they happen to leak we will know about it. There will be a slick."
