After the excellent analysis of the possible stadium at Falmer (Argus, December 6), I can only trace one rejoinder (Opinion, December 12).
There must by now be more than a suspicion that the projected Falmer stadium is a non-starter. The arguments put forward by Mr Layzell do not stack up.
If the "finest architects" testify the site is large enough, where are their drawings?
As to transporting 25,000 fans by road or by rail, or both, this becomes somewhat difficult with minimal car parking and totally inadequate rail services.
Is it not time the Albion put their plan on the table or, better still, used their time and money in finding a more appropriate venue?
I am sure we all wish the Albion well but it does look as though their fans may be facing an impasse. After the Goldstone ground failure, perhaps these fans deserve better this time.
