On December 13 we received a Christmas card from our daughter and her husband in San Francisco.
The next day we received a card from friends in Southampton.
Nothing unusual in that, you might say, except both were posted on Saturday, December 9.
Anyone with Air Miles to spare might well be advised to fly to the States and post their cards there - it could be quicker.
