Toilet attendant Pearl Short is flushed with pride after winning a top award.
Pearl, 62, has been named the best South East attendant in the national Loo of the Year Awards.
She was presented with her award by Brighton and Hove councillor John Ballance at the loos on Hove seafront, west of the King Alfred Leisure Centre.
The toilets are cleaned and maintained by Wetton Cleaning Services.
Pearl, of Wickhurst Rise, Mile Oak, said: "I don't do anything special. It is all down to Wettons really.
"But I like the job and I find the people I meet are so friendly. They have been really nice."
The loos where she worked were also given high marks for cleanliness.
Others commended were those in the Royal Pavilion Gardens, Stanmer Village, The Lanes, Hove Park, Hove Lagoon and St Ann's Well Gardens.
