The recent bad weather was certainly the worst in memory and beyond but it has not in any way affected people's Christmas spirit.
The look of Christmas has never been better, with lights and displays to take the breath away.
Years ago it was a few fairy lights on the tree in the window but in recent years whole houses have been turned into Disney-like winter wonderlands, as this picture shows.
These fairytale illuminations certainly help everyone to forget winter is with us.
