Despite having no home green on which to play, Arun members are in fine fettle.

Egerton Park's Tony Midwinter, Mike Newman, Garrick Oliver and Robin Boswell lost 24-19 to Peter Scott while Falaise four John Foster, Godfrey Gibbs, Bob Knapp and Ken Beaney were beaten 28-16 by Harry Saunders.
Horsham (Peter Wren, Lew Mockett, Michael Bryder, Mick Gull) won the Sussex under-65s fours tournament at Eastbourne, winning all four games with a shots difference of 52-16.
Second were Worthing Pavilion (Dave Thomas, Rod Poland, Terry Fitzgerald and Ron Rebera) who had three wins and a draw with shots of 43-20.
Colin Nicholls and Don Bristow received their county badges after playing for Sussex in the 119-100 Berkshire at the West Berks (Newbury) club.
Malcolm Goman and Mick Spakes made their debuts. Colin Campbell's rink won 30-17, Dave Croft won 18-16, Brian Hough drew 18-18, Alex Wright lost 25-15, Jerry Dean lost 18-9 and Alan Glenister went down 25-10.
In a non-badge match at Grattons against London Welsh BA, Sussex won 153-104. Ralph Steele won 34-11, Simon Pettingel 30-9, John Gockelen by 28-12 over Worthing's Welshman Gary Wyatt while Robert Houston lost 22-20 to Horsham's match secretary Graham Evans.
Doug Jeffery lost 21-19 to Tony Weeks and Derek Foster 29-22.
The Mid Sussex League pulled out of their scheduled fixture at Worthing against the Sussex CIBA at little more than 24 hours notice as they could only raise six players.
When Dennis Alderton, Terry Woolgar, Ken Thatcher and Brian Miller picked up six shots on the third end they went into a five shot lead in the Charrington Eastbourne open fours final.
They remained in command to win 27-10 after 18 ends against Roger Taylor, Gordon Robshaw, Peter Reynolds and Colin Taylor.
It was good bowling throughout the final, but the Preston team led 13-17 at 10 ends and, after a five on the 15th end, were 24-9 in front. Reynold was the pick of the Eastbourne team and the winners picked up £50 each.
The play-off for third and fourth had five no-ends and plenty of action, but this also ended at 18 ends with Beth Clarke, Bob Winchester, Ken Hook and Len Bull 25-13 winners over Eastbourne colleagues Pauline Davies, Shirley Tankard (a substitute for Keith Hopkins), Ralph Davies and Mike Taylor.
Bull's team got four shots on the 11th end to lead 12-8 and a five on the 14th end had them 18-1 ahead.
Ted Hayward, Alan Vidler and Chris Rolph had a tough time at Havant Borough against Trevor Bailey's team and called a halt at 20-10 down with two ends left of the main national triples event.
