MONDAY: Micky Adams rubbishes a report claiming Southampton and Newcastle have been quoted £2 million for Bobby Zamora.
"Who has asked for a start?"" he says. "They haven't asked me or my chairman.
"We haven't put a price on Bobby and we haven't had an offer for him apart from Cardiff."
Adams believes the transfer speculation is affecting Zamora after he is upstaged by two-goal Chris Greenacre at Mansfield.
"I think it is affecting him big time. You only had to look at his performance last Saturday, but he was not the only one."
TUESDAY: Adams fears Lee Steele could be out of action until mid-March after hurting his right knee in a car crash.
"There is obviously a concern," he says. "The knee is very lax.
"At best it will be three to four weeks, at worst three months."
Danny Cullip is urged to prove he has recovered from a recurring calf problem which has restricted his training.
"I have got to be careful," Adams says. "Missing a week's training and just playing games is no good to the team or the individual.
"I am not saying he let the side down at Mansfield, but I don't think he was 100 per cent."
WEDNESDAY: Darren Freeman is pencilled in for his first start for four months at Barnet on Boxing Day in the absence of Steele and the banned Bobby Zamora.
Adams pulls last season's fit-again leading marksman out of the reserves' game at Cambridge United to save him for the hectic Christmas programme.
Albion Reserves are beaten 1-0 by Cambridge United in the Football Combination, but boss Dean White is pleased with the performance of his young side.
THURSDAY: Adams refuses to panic following back-to-back defeats.
"What have we got to panic for? Certain players have gone off the boil, but that happens.
"We have lost one League game in seven and only two in 17."
Former Albion defender Jamie Campbell is philosophical as he looks forward to returning to Withdean with Exeter.
"I hold my hands up, things didn't work out for me at Brighton," Campbell says.
"It doesn't surprise me at all that they are doing so well. It will be disappointing if they don't get promoted or at least make the play-offs."
