John saw his young side delight a crowd of over 300 at the Beacon with a 3-0 win and then declared: "They can't have any complaints, we gave them a hiding."

In division two, Worthing United are three points clear after goals from Matt Kelly, Gavin Jones, Tony Turton and Nigel Waller earned a 4-2 win over Mile Oak.
