Hammer-wielding robbers pounced on a pizza delivery man as he made a call in the middle of the night.
The 22-year-old delivery man had parked his white Suzuki Swift in Mann Street, Hastings, to make a delivery.
When he returned to the vehicle he was threatened by a robber wielding a hammer and another weapon.
The masked robber, who was with two other men who also wore balaclavas, grabbed his victim's car keys.
The victim ran away and the gang drove off in his car, registration number V834 KGH. It was last spotted in South Terrace.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the attack, which happened at 12.30am on Wednesday.
