With council tax being increased to keep up with council funding, national health service upkeep and OAP homes etc, it would help if district and county councils cut spending in their own departments, eg. public parks and gardens.
On my reckoning, it would be less costly if gardens were planted out with flowering shrubs and pruned annually and strimmers used more than big lawnmowers, which scarf hilly lawns and expose tree roots.
Let's also have car parking at the bottom of Dolphin Park when not in use by fairs etc. That would bring in more revenue. To sum up - less council wasting funds and fewer council tax increases.

I vote for what is right. I am an independent voter. I have no allegiance to the Lib-Dems, Tories or Labour. I will happily vote for any party that represents my view.
My job entails looking after all of the IT within a large company, so I am not an extremist in any sense of the word. I am a 40-year-old married man with two youngsters. I am not a little Englander but someone with a lot more common sense than many of our current politicians. I can see the bigger global picture.
You do not need to be a rocket scientist to understand what lies ahead: The demise of Great Britain with the help of some non-visionary politicians. Let's hope the general public appreciates how important it is to vote for the party to save Britain at the next election, whatever party that turns out to be.
As a sensible non-paranoid individual, I believe it is now time to leave the EU.
