Selma Montford (Opinion, December 2) seems to suggest the information we published about our development proposals for the Brighton station site were "dishonest" because there was no mention of a supermarket car park.
Let me say we have absolutely no reason to be dishonest or misleading, which is why we circulated a newsletter giving a full description of our plans to thousands of homes in the area of the site.
It's a fact of life that many people want to use their cars for leisure, shopping, etc. So, yes, we will suggest parking facilities for the supermarket.
Once our studies are complete, we will say what we think this parking should be. Meanwhile, Selma Montford can be sure our aim is to devise a sustainable transport policy in which we have tried to reduce car use on the site to a realistic minimum level.
