I want to express my indignation and total disapproval of plans to build a waste burner on the north quay of Newhaven.
We are being threatened with a hideous and poisonous monstrosity that will blight not only Newhaven but also the surrounding towns and villages.
Why expose the population to dioxins and heavy metals on purpose?
During the summer we frequently have an area of several square miles covered by a sea mist. Combined with waste smoke, this would cause low altitude poisonous smog.
How many times must a town, already described in Parliament as the backside of Britain, be kicked before the authorities realise that ordinary people must be heard and not railroaded into decisions by those who don't even live here?
