I agree with the correspondent about the lack of police in Worthing.

My wife and I visit the town centre most days but often go many months without seeing a policeman.

What we do see is dangerous and speeding motorists, illegal parking, cyclists weaving at considerable speed through the pedestrian precinct, broken shop windows and graffiti from the previous night's drunken behaviour. Petty thieving goes on all the time. Much of this happens where there are CCTV cameras which are totally ignored by the wrongdoers.

As Mr Franklin says, why doesn't the council do something about this poor service and why should we pay ever increasing council tax?
