Lee Preston finally makes his Worthing debut tomorrow - almost five months behind schedule.

The former Horsham and Bognor goalkeeper lost out to Richard Waters in the battle to be Rebels' No.1 in August. But boss Sammy Donnelly has now signed Preston from Redhill to replace Waters who recently quit Woodside Road.

Preston remains registered for County League action with Redhill, who have taken Matthew May on loan from Rebels.

Donnelly has problems in midfield for the home game against Wealdstone with Gary Green banned and Mark Burt likely to be out for a fortnight with a knee injury.

Spencer Mintram (ankle) and the suspended Ben Carrington are also out.

A new defender is Jack Pearce's priority as Bognor look to continue their good run at Oxford City.

Jay Pickering is likely to be out for a month with a knee injury while Kevin Murphy is a more long term absentee.

Miles Rutherford is likely to partner David Wright again in the heart of defence.

Pearce said: "The pair of them did well last week but they do not have the greatest physical presence."

Horsham boss John Maggs last night strengthened his squad ahead of the Division Two trip to Chertsey by signing Folkestone pair Billy Manuel, a midfielder with league experience, and fullback Danny White.

Manuel, 31, played for Barnet, Gillingham and Peterborough.

Lewes could be without their 30-goal striking pair for the trip to Ware in division three.

Warren Bagnall (thigh) and Sam Francis (wrist) are among a number of players who are struggling with injury.
