Richie Reynolds was the most fed-up manager in Sussex, despite his side's 6-0 away win.

Pagham's youngsters played some outstanding football to thrash Redhill in the John O'Hara Cup.

Paul Morby (2), Lee Stevens, Lee Pinhorne, Ashley Edwards and Tony Stephens saw Pagham into the last eight.

But Reynolds was more concerned that his side had fallen seven points behind league leaders Horsham YMCA with four games in hand.

He said: "We will be even further behind by the time we finish our cup games and that's totally unfair.

"We have been given three cup ties in a week when I thought the idea was to be catching up with league games."

Pagham fear tomorrow night's RUR Cup derby at Sidlesham could be called off. Sidlesham won 4-2 at home to Eastbourne United in the John O'Hara on Saturday and boss Ian Hillman admitted: "It was a difficult surface."

Despite that, both sides played some good stuff, with Max Dyer's superb finish putting United ahead. Dave Milkins (2) and Dave Pettican turned the match before Dyer struck again.

Wayne Eastman settled it with an 85th-minute penalty following a foul on Calvin Hore.

Veteran striker Peter Heritage grabbed his first two goals of the season for Sidley United in the John O'Hara League Cup and they were enough to steer his side to a 2-0 win over hosts Wick.

Heritage said: "I am not the future of Sidley Football Club and I was just happy to be in the background, but given the right service I will still get goals and I am happy to do so.

"It was a superb win for us but we have been really working hard on our training since the wet weather hit and it is paying off."
