Mr PR Mockridge is justified in pointing out that Southwick is not part of the city of Brighton and Hove (January 5), but I would like to point out the whole of the conurbation is interdependent.
Many residents of Southwick and Shoreham work in Brighton and Hove and people from the city work in Adur.
The large retail outlets in that area depend, in part, on the trade from Brighton and Hove and the shops and entertainments in the city draw part of their trade from the western area.
If Brighton catches cold, Southwick sneezes.
