Now we know what the Labourites on the Adur District Council really want - a sell out of Southwick and Fishersgate to the big city of Brighton and Hove (December 26).
The Port of Shoreham is the prize which the Adur Labour councillors would deliver to their big brothers given half a chance.
Hove would have a delightful media centre and upmarket housing; Southwick and Fishersgate would be left with a mutilated beach and the strong possibility of an incinerator for the city's household rubbish.
-Jim Funnell, Conservative councillor for Eastbrook Ward, Adur District Council
