Your report concerning the Worthing Police Community Forum which has written to the Home Secretary for more beat officers (January 8) is very pertinent to Brighton and Hove.
The city has no police and community consultative group funded by the Home Office with a non-political committee elected from community organisations.
The city has only a unitary authority emergency services public consultative safety committee, which has a huge agenda to include community organisation consultation.
This is no substitute for a non-political group which is independent of politics.
