I was pleased to hear about the funds to be used to clean up our hospitals.
I was in the orthopaedics ward at the Royal Sussex County Hospital during last summer and was disgusted by the conditions we had to endure.
The toilet, shared by two wards, was only cleaned once a week and that was only after we complained. For washing we had to use a bowl brought to the bed.
After two weeks I was glad to get home and have a proper bath.
My daughter worked at the same hospital for a while and she said the offices were filthy too.
It is interesting to find that the Brighton Health Care NHS Trust has now deleted from its headed paper 'Putting Patients' Interests First'.
The one good thing about the County is the second to none nursing care.
