Robbie Ashdown scored on his debut as Southwick eased to a 4-0 victory over Horsham IV in the Premier Division of the Sussex Open League.
Ashdown took just five minutes to open the scoring from a well struck short corner.
David Jackson tapped in the second from an Andrew Skinner cross on 25 minutes and Lee Wild netted twice in the second half to seal victory. His first followed an excellent run and his second was a reverse stick shot from the top of the D.
Leaders South Saxons continued their tremendous season with a convincing 6-3 win over Middleton and Bognor. Jeremy Bunday scored a hat-trick, Carl Lewington added two and Richard Harvey got the other.
Lewes IV enjoyed a 2-0 success against Saxons II thanks to efforts from Charlie Wycherley and Richard Morford.
Chichester 3A enjoyed their first away win of the season as they triumphed 1-0 in their basement battle with Sussex University, while Brighton IV cruised to a 5-0 victory over Worthing III.
Crowborough were awarded a 5-0 win as Littlehampton did not turn up.
Sussex Police moved eight points clear in Division One after a 3-2 win away to Penguins II. Mark Cranley, Chris Ambrose and Paul Sellings were on target for the Police, while John Rogers struck twice for Penguins.
Second placed Saxons III lost ground after going down 1-0 away to St Francis. Ollie Keating got the only goal from open play.
Crawley III, in third place, lost 2-0 to Lewes V, who in turn boosted their own battle against relegation. Scorers were captain Neal James and Ed Thomas.
Southwick II threw away a two goal lead as they drew 2-2 with Hailsham. Dave Brampton and Nick Slater put Southwick in control at the interval but Steve Johnson pulled a goal back for Hailsham and an equaliser arrived ten minutes from time when Henry Drake set up Ian Johnson for an excellent finish.
Middleton and Bognor III enjoyed a 3-2 triumph at home to Brighton V.
Penguins III remain bottom of the table despite a 3-0 victory away to Worthing IV. Richard Stranwick scored a hat-trick.
Billypickles remained second in Division Two following a convincing 7-0 victory over Worthing V. After a slow start goals came from Neil Skates (three), Neil Brenson (two), Dominic Bradley and Brad Read.
Crowborough II were awarded a 5-0 win as Littlehampton II were able to field a legitimate side. The teams played a friendly instead.
Southwick III eased to a 5-1 victory over Crawley IV thanks to goals from Paul Selley (two), Paul Trimble, Alex Mellor and Paul Shipperley.
Lewes 5A enjoyed a 5-2 win over basement side Newhaven II. Sam Freeman and George Mynott got the consolations for Newhaven.
A bizarre game in Division Four saw St Francis II lose 8-5 away to rock bottom Brighton Flippers. Saints scorers were Richard Henwood (two), Brian Mott, Anthony Holmes and Janic Lewandowski.
Second placed Lewes Lions enjoyed a 2-0 win over Hailsham II with Tom Crook scoring once in each half. It could have been more but Hailsham keeper Craig Tasane made a number of fine saves.
Fourteen-year-old Alex Mills was among the scorers as Southwick IV lost 4-3 away to East Grinstead Badgers.
EAST Grinstead maintained third spot in 2nd XI Premier Division One with a 4-2 victory over Holcombe.
Lewes II overcame City of Portsmouth II with Sam Blonden getting the winning goal.
Chichester are five points clear in the 2nd XI Premier Division Two after a 2-2 draw with third placed Old Georgians. Ollie Lane-Smith netted twice for Chi.
Tim Dodd scored twice for Horsham II as they lost 5-2 away to Milton Keynes.
In the Open Premier League, East Grinstead III maintained top spot in Division One with a 5-2 win away to mid-table Winchester III.
Lewes III overcame City of Portsmouth III 6-1 with all three forwards - Jimmy Lister, Rob Heinzl and Martyn Stillman - on the scoresheet.
Horsham III lost 3-1 at home to Basingstoke with Dave Upton getting the consolation.
In Division Two, a late goal condemned Chichester III to a 1-0 defeat away to Woking III.
In the 2nd XI Kent and Sussex Regional League, Brighton II remained four points clear at the top of the table after beating Mid Sussex II 6-0. Barney Stubbs scored a hat-trick, Andy Wheeler netted twice and John Mitchell got the other.
Worthing II lost 3-0 away to Crawley II, while Eastbourne II went down 1-0 to Old Bordenians.
In the Kent/Sussex Open League, East Grinstead III edged out Gillingham Anchorians 1-0 but Eastbourne III were beaten 4-1 by leaders Canterbury 4A.
East Grinstead Veterans continued their defence of the National Veterans (Over-40s) Cup with a 9-1 victory away to Shrewsbury on Sunday.
Buoyed by Saturday's 6-0 win over Woking in the Wessex League, Grinstead were in a confident frame of mind and they led 4-0 at half time before ramming home their authority in the second period.
Richard Organ scored four times, Martyn Cremin hit a hat-trick while Paul Lloyd and Richard Leman were also on target.
Grinstead are now through to the last 16 where they will return to action on February 18.
Worthing Veterans enjoyed a 9-1 victory over Tunbridge Wells with hat-tricks from Bob Catlow, Tony Morris and Peter Morris.
Sam Blonden hit a golden goal winner as Lewes II beat Worthing II 1-0 to reach the Sussex 2nd XI Cup final.
Lewes II lost 3-1 to leaders Eastbourne in the Sussex Ladies' League. Sara Riley scored for Lewes from a short corner while Helen Fuller had an excellent game at sweeper.
Worthing lost 8-2 to East Grinstead with Jenny Howells and Maureen Clarke getting the consolations. Hannah Simpson netted for Worthing IV as they lost 4-1 to Brighton.
