Hove Legion A condemned 147 B to a second successive 4-1 defeat in the Premier Division of the Brighton League.
Winners for Hove Legion were Tony Kelly, who hit a 32, Peter Reay (43 break), Paul Mitchell and Richard Barrett. This second shock defeat for the Bs left 147 A clear at the top of Division One by two points.
Rottingdean were tied top of Division Two until Brighton Sports C beat them through Mark Sayers, Geoff Lewis, Nathan Broderick and Neil Gozzett.
Annunciation C moved closer to the Division Three leaders after beating Aldrington A through Brian Royall, Reg Fox, John Hill and Nigel Field.
Hove Legion B lost to Brighton Sports E in Division Four with the Sports star being Anthony Potter, who now has 14 wins from 15 played. The other winners were Carlo Lupy and Steve Presland.
Portslade Sports and Lloyds TSB recorded 4-1 wins to stay tied top of Division Five.
Division Six leaders Marquess of Exeter beat St Matthias D through Dave Hoare, Phil Bish and Darren Welfare, who had breaks of 29 and 25, to move nine points clear.
NARC scored just one point short of the maximum 500 in the billiards league to stay top of that section. Champion House could not close the gap when they tied 395-all with Moulsecoomb.
Royal Mail A lead the Worthing League Division A by five points after beating their own Bs through Clark Lucas, Elliott Bradley, who hit a 30, Jason Goodwin, Neil Allen and Christian Sandalls. Southwick A defeated second placed Shoreham A in Division Two through Graham Willard, Eric Roberts, Brendan Ward and Trevor Smart.
Top side Tennis B beat their own C team 3-2 in Division C through Mike Elliott, Robin Chidwick and Roger Wadeson, while second placed Lancing overcame Storrington 3-2 through Tony Samuel, Callum Fitzpatrick, who hit a 31, and Kevin Keegan.
Shoreham C topped Division D after beating Broadwater 4-1 to go three points ahead of Durrington Social, who beat their own Ds 3-2 through Terry Brand, Adam Wells and Nick Roberts.
Lancing Empire A are top of the Veterans League after sinking Shoreham A, while Durrington Social A beat New Central B through Terry Brand, Peter Wainwright and Gordon Jones.
Hailsham Memorial Institute and Newhaven Con A are tied top of the Lewes League Division One but MI have the advantage of two games in hand.
The breakmakers in Division One are Matt Barnes (Q-Ball A), with 35 and 26, Andy Stanley (Uckfield B), with 29 and 33 and Barry Goldsmith (Peacehaven A) with a 33.
Q-Ball B are three points clear in Division Two with a match in hand.
Brighton A beat Crowborough A 6-4 and shot to the top of the East Susssex Senior League.
Stuart Dunseith got the side off to a good start with a 48 break to give him the first 63-33 before Steve Crowley notched a break of 34 to take the second for Crowborough 79-35.
The first big breakthrough for Brighton came from Ben Evans who unceremoniously put Andy Gatward to the sword with a break of 56 giving him the first 76-32 before a break of 46 secured the second 72-48.
Then came an extraordinary frame with Michael West losing out by the odd point in 105 to Andy Phillips before Phillips pulled his side right back into it with a 66-44 second frame win.
John Gillard and Steve Howell took one frame each before Tony Strange, with a break of 54 in the second, knocked over Phil Carmichael to complete Brighton's win.
Lewes A shocked the entire league by going second with a 7-3 win over Eastbourne C.
The winners were Ashley Bull, with a 38 break, Barry Goldsmith, with a 45, Gary Page and a 34 giving Sean Payne the second against Andy Simpson.
