Some good fish are being taken by members of the Pippingford Park Syndicate from the string of lakes fed by the tributary of the Medway at Nutley.
Among the catches of pike was a predator of 23lb 6oz caught by Peter Merritt of New Addington in Surrey. The catch was made by casting 30 yards to a snaggy swim with a smelt injected with salmon oil.
Other fish to be taken from the fishery have included some big chub weighing up to 6lb plus.
In between the flood water pike continue to be caught from the River Rother mainly on deadbaits and include a fish of 19lb 8oz taken by John Huggins of Hastings.
At Wylands Angling Centre, carp to 12lb 8oz were caught on Middle Lake by anglers fishing with boilies. The biggest fish was landed by Jason Callaghan who fished with Andrew Frusher to catch 60 fish between them in two days and nights. During the day the fish were in close to the reeds, but were taken in open water after dark.
Carp in the 2lb to 5lb range were caught from Field lake and Old Specimen Lake by anglers either fishing maggots on feeder, or float, or with luncheon meat on ledger tackle.
Weights were up to 24lb during competitions on Match Lake at Iden Wood where the winner of last weeks open caught just four mirror carp to make up his weight.

Tanyard Fisheries continues to produce some big fish and an 18lb pike was taken from specimen one along with carp to low 20s. The pike was hooked on a dead rudd, but the carp were caught on boilies.
On the carp free pond waggler fished worms are producing plenty of nice perch to 2lb 12oz and, from the coarse lakes, catches of carp, roach, rudd and the odd crucian are still being made.

On a dreadful evening, Shoreham had eight stick it for four hours on the beach for their first match of the year which was the opening round of a Singles League.
Twenty-six fish - 22 rockling, four flounders - measuring 608cm were taken in the new style of catch and release match. Mike Perfect won on 202 points, John Grinstead had 167 and Steve Dellar 156.
