A cheap bus fares scheme in Brighton and Hove is to be extended.
The Brighton and Hove Bus Company already runs a special deal in some areas where people making short journeys pay a £1 flat fare on the outward journey but return free.
This deal is now going to be extended to passengers making short journeys within Rottingdean, Peacehaven and Newhaven, Woodingdean, Hollingbury and Shoreham.
Pensioners travelling on these routes with a Sussex Countycard will continue to pay 50p for their outward journey and get the return journey free.
Weekly fares are also being cut from £7.50 for commuters from Newhaven and Peacehaven into Brighton.
Bus company managing director Roger French said: "I believe we are offering extra value for money for residents living in this part of Sussex and hope this will encourage greater use for frequent services along the coast."
Details of the extended fares offers can be obtained from the company on 01273 886200 or on www.buses.co.uk
