ALBION ace Bobby Zamora is teaming up tomorrow with Trinidad and Tobago's World Cup squad.

Boss Micky Adams has given his star striker permission to be part of their three-day training camp in England.

It means Zamora will be rubbing shoulders with the likes of Manchester United marksman Dwight Yorke, West Ham goalkeeper Shaka Hislop, Nottingham Forest forward Stern John and Trinidad captain Russell Latapy, who plays for Hibernian.

But Albion will not be losing the 19-goal prospect for their promotion push.

Zamora will be available for next Saturday's trip to Cheltenham and he will not figure in Trinidad's World Cup qualifying matches between now and the end of the season.

Adams said: "I am allowing him to train with the squad. That doesn't mean he will be playing for Trinidad."

The Argus exclusively revealed last month that Zamora is reluctant to commit his international future to Trinidad and Tobago.

The 20-year-old qualifies to play for both Trinidad and England through his parents and he is keen to keep his options open following talks with Adams.

Ian Porterfield, the Trinidad coach and former Sunderland FA Cup final hero, watched Zamora help Albion to a 2-0 win against Exeter at Withdean just before Christmas during a scouting mission to England.

The youngster has been in unstoppable form since a £100,000 move from Bristol Rovers in August.

Scouts have been flocking to Withdean to watch him and today's opponents Cardiff have already had a £1.2 million bid turned down by Albion. Zamora's scoring exploits have even persuaded a local band to re-name themselves after him.

The Trinidad training camp is in preparation for their World Cup qualifying showdown against Jamaica on February 28. They have two other matches in the CONCACAF zone during the regular English season, against Costa Rica next month and Mexico in April.
