Langney Sports have appointed Tony Hylands as their first-full-time member of staff.
Hylands will be the commercial manager and takes up his duties in a fortnight with the Dr Martens League eastern division club.
The 40-year-old, presently employed by the Albion, used to play for Sports when they were in the East Sussex League.
He said: "It's like going home. I live in Eastbourne and have admired how the club have climbed the ladder. I hope to help them run their club on a more professional footing."
Sports chairman Len Smith said: "Our commercial affairs need undivided attention. We've got a good commercial set-up already, but it relies solely on volunteers."
