STUDENT JOY Sussex University student Kevin Flynn had double cause to celebrate last weekend. First he was elected sports events co-ordinator at the university and then scored in his team's 5-0 Brighton League Premier Division win against Southern Rangers. Those celebrations must have been heavy, as 20-year-old Kevin only managed to surface from his bed at 1pm on Monday when we called him.
Or perhaps that is just life as a student.
DEBUTANTS ARE A HIT Millhouse gave three players their debut against Bush in the Sussex Sunday League Premier Division and all of them hit the net in a 5-0 win. Stuart Bailey, Gary Beal and Luke Reed all scored with Stuart and Luke also scoring in the 9-1 win in the second game of the double header.
FLU-STRUCK HILLVIEW Hillview Reserves were hit by a flu epidemic last weekend.
No fewer than seven players were struck down by the bug before their Mid Sussex League Division Nine match against Maresfield, causing it to be postponed.
The remaining players linked up with an equally flu-struck first team but slipped to a 3-1 defeat against Crawley Down.

Pottage currently lead the Premier Division.
