Household product giant Kimberly-Clark is moving its European headquarters to Mocatta House in the Trafalgar Place development, Brighton.
This multi-national company will create up to 250 jobs in the city when it creates its European shared service centre.
It illustrates to people, who may have thought the city status tag was just a word, that the single word carries weight in the commercial world.
This is a welcome boost to the city's economy and is hopefully the first company among many which choose to move into this city instead of opting for a London base.
The company has signed a 14-year lease for four floors and it will prove mutually beneficial to both Brighton and Hove and the company itself.
The people of the city will have more employment opportunities and the people who choose to work for the company can have all the benefits of life in Brighton and Hove.
